Rock and Roll Hall of Shame Inductors

It was announced today who the inductors for this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will be. For the most part I feel they did a good job of picking friends, contemporaries, and close followers to induct these legends, a practice the Hall often does not always employ. First up, Neil Young will be inducting his old friend Tom Waits. Like the Hall or not, Neil Young and Tom Waits on stage together is pretty badass.
Last year they finally began touring together, now Rob Zombie will get the honor of inducting one of his idols Alice Cooper. A fitting pair.

Elton John, who long petitioned for Leon's inclusion in the Hall and even released a new album with him last year, will induct his mentor Leon Russell.

Bette Midler will induct her idol Darlene Love.

Paul Simon will get the honor of inducting fellow singer songwriter Neil Diamond.

The oddest pair in my opinion, John Legend will induct Dr. John. Perhaps I am just unaware of Dr. John's influence on Legend's music, but I think they could have probably found a more fitting inductee.

Lloyd Price will induct Speciality Records founder Art Rupe.

The Doors drummer John Densmore will induct Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman.
