A Look at Judas Priest's Discography

Who doesn't love Judas Priest, they fucking rock and they always fucking will. As they prepare for their farewell tour, band's not breaking up just giving up doing big world tours, we though it would be a good idea to look over their discography and criticize and praise their album art. Let's go!

Rock on The Range Rumors: Guessing The Lineup

Only 3 Days remain until the ROTR lineup is revealed and the rumor mill has pretty much dried up. The only thing really to note is two new rock tours. First, Three Days Grace announced the initial dates for their US tour with My Darkest Days, which so far runs from the end of March till mid April. Second, the Avalanche Tour was announced featuring Stone Sour, Theory of A Deadman, Skillet, Halestorm, and Art of Dying. The tour starts at the end of March and runs through May 1. With none of these tours touching down in Columbus, all are possibilities for ROTR.

Also adding to possible speculation, Tampa Florida announced their 98 Rockfest lineup for April. The lineup consist of the entire Avalanche tour plus 3 Doors Down and Seether. While doubtfully a huge indication, smaller radio festivals are routinely made up of a number of the bands who play ROTR each year.

So with little else to mention in way of rumors, here is my predicted list of who will be at ROTR 2011. I compiled this list by looking at tours, reading interviews, talking to friends, thinking over rumors, and purely speculating.

Interesting Concert

Reminding me that the 2000s are really in the books, comes this interesting concert in Walker, MN. Appearing at The Northern Lights Casino is Aaron Lewis and Scott Stapp, each performing solo and acousticly. Hmm...Aaron Lewis is the lead singer of the Nu-Metal band Staind, and Scott Stapp is the lead singer of Creed, a band that used to be on top of the fucking world. Dam these boys are not in their hay days anymore, lets take a peak at each's US record sales over the years.

The Decemberist- The King is Dead

The Decemberist, indie rockers from Oregon, are back with their sixth album The King is Dead. Out of all the new releases this week, this album is undoubtedly the hottest and the only one that really has a chance of breaking into the Top 10. Over the last ten years, the group has garnished a strong following, as well as strong critical acclaim, and should be able to match the success of their 2009 album The Hazards of Love, which debuted on the Billboard at number 14. I think they'll make Top 10 with this one. You can hear the whole album here.

Rumors ROTR

About a month to go until ROTR annouces it's 2011 lineup, and they're really haven't been to many new rumors flying about who's going to be there. After their New York show in December, a lot of people are advocating for Rammstein to make an appearance but it seems doubtful. No real news from any of the possible headliners I mentioned here and later here, a lot of people are talking about System of A Down playing but here is no hard facts on that (still feel Linkin Park is a shoe in for one of the headlining spots). So while we wait, here is a look at some mainstream rock acts hitting the road this summer and could possibly be at ROTR.

A Look at Iron Maiden's Discography

Time for another round of judging a band's legacy simply by their album covers, today's band (victim) is British Heavy Metal band Iron Maiden, which means we'll be seeing a lot of their famous mascot Eddie in various forms. Enjoy.
