ROTR Rumors: Confirmed Bands?

Time is ticking away, and around Valentine's Day all you waiting Rock on The Range fans should know the lineup. In the meantime, we have some new rumors budding. Apparently a blogsite (here) has confirmed Stone Sour, Slash w/ Myles Kennedy, and Staind for this year's ROTR. No sources are mentioned, or even hinted at, so for the time being we'll treat it as just a rumor (never heard of this blog before no idea what kind of credencials it has). Could this be legit, well let's look at the information we do have.

Slash- Currently opening for Ozzy, has dates booked through the end of April. Played ROTR last year and though his set was enjoyable, I really don't think we need him back again. Besides, on would think Myles would want to do some touring with his other band, Alter Bridge (currently have no dates booked), who recently released their third album.
So they could be here, but let's hope Alter Bridge is instead.

Staind- Staind are reportedly working on a new studio album, and lead singer Aaron Lewis is on a solo tour promoting his new 'Country Boy' single. The solo tour turns through the end of April, and Staind have no committed 2011 dates thus far. If they're not locked in the studio they very well could be there, they played ROTR once before in 2008.

Stone Sour- Currently on tour until March 7, no Columbus date but they do have an Ohio date in Cincinatti. Stone Sour have never played ROTR before and would be a good additon. Corey Taylor's other band, Slipknot, does not have summer European dates until the end of June.

So while there is no hard facts yet to prove these rumors true, there also appears to be no reason why each band couldn't be there. Just have to keep waiting.
