19. Kanye West My Dark Twisted Fantasy
18. R. Kelly Love Letters
17. Lady Antebellum Need You Know
16. Eminem Recovery
15. Gregg Allman Low Country Blues
14. Katy Perry Teenage Dream
13. Rihanna Loud
12. Jason Aldean My Kinda Party
11. Pink Greatest Hits So Far
10. The Decemberists The King Is Dead
The Decemberists lose last week's crown but still managed to stay in the Top 10, nothing to sneeze your nose at. I really like this group and their new album so let's hear one more track off of it.
9. Kidz Bop 19
Let's keep this short, week 2 they're still in the top 10. Ok, Wanda Jackson's new album with Jack White came in at a low #58, and Destroyer came in even lower at #62. Oh well let's hear a track off Kaputt.
8. Wisin and Yandel Los Vaqueros: El Regreso
Wisin and Yandel are a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo. Reggaeton, as far as I understand it, means playing Reggae music in Spanish; interesting. This is not the groups first visit to the Top Ten, in 2009 their album debuted at #7, looks like they have a strong fanbase.
7. Taylor Swift Speak Now
It's been 14 weeks straight, how long is Taylor Swift going to stay in the Billboard Top 20? Maybe her next album will bump it out, I don't know. Anywho, Joe Nichols first Greatest Hits album never even saw the Top 20 debuting at a lowly #52 debut. I like Joe, so we're gonna play one of his hits.
6. Mumford and Sons Sigh No More
Daddy must be proud of these boys, week 45 and their still chugging along. Hell why not, let's hear another track off their monster album.
5. Bruno Mars Doo-Wops and Hooligans
Bruno Mars just got convicted of having cocaine in Las Vegas, but his album is still selling well. It's his 17th week on the charts and he's still in the Top 10, so what's he got to complain about. A little further down the chart we have a debut from Talbi Kweli with his new album Gutter Rainbows coming in at #29. Cool album name for a dude I've only very recently heard of, he's a rapper of some sort, but let's have a listen none the less.
4. 2011 Grammy Nominees
The Grammys are coming, the Grammys are coming. Here is a collection of nominees for this year's Grammy's bullshit award show, so let's listen to a random track off of it. Sade- Babyfather
3. Nicki Minaj Pink Friday
Week 10 and Nicki won't stay down, instead she's risen back into the Top 5. Thing is though, I don't really like Nicki so we're gonna look at a band I do like called Cold War Kids. They're new album Mine is Yours debuted at #21 this week, the same position their 2008 album debuted at. That sucks.
2. Iron and Wine Kiss Each Other Clean
Though he did not grab the top spot, Iron and Wine should be happy on having their best sales debut. 2007's The Shepard's Dog came in at #24, so there's no reason to frett you put out a new solid album and lost to a worthy opponent.
Another good track off the record, though I still feel like the production is a bit distracting with all the bells and whistles in the background.
1. Amos Lee Mission Bell
Lee's last album, Last Days at the Lodge, debuted at #29 on the charts so he has a lot to be thankful for. I can personally vouch for this album, I've listened to it through a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Do yourself a favor and purchase it so Amos doesn't go tumbling out of the Top 10 next week.
Yep good stuff.
What ever happened to..................last week's Top 10?
