This morning the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival finally announced the lineup for their 26 date North American tour.
Well they didn't actually announce the full lineup, the third band playing on the main stage won't be announced until March 5th. Most believe this third band is legendary rockers Motorhead. Having Motorhead as the third headline band would make sense and explain why their announcement is being delayed until March 5. Motorhead is currently on Gigantour with Megadeth, Volbeat, and Lacuna Coil until March 3. Promoters of Gigantour probably didn't want Motorhead announced as part of Mayhem Fest until Gigantour was over so Motorhead fans wouldn't skip one metal festival for the other.
So while we can't say for sure, I for one am betting Motorhead will joining Slipknot and Slayer this summer on Mayhem Festival.
