Bullshit Coming

We here at Muse-Zach hate the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, because the entire thing is a big pile of shit that makes no god dam sense; demeaning rock and roll musicians and fans alike since it's inception. But we'll talk more about that another time, today we're just here to perpare our readers for the bullshit storm that is brewing over Cleveland. For on Wednesday December 15, 2010, the hall will annouce which of this year's nominee's will be getting in. In case you forgot who was nominated, here they are:

Alice Cooper, Beastie Boys, Bon Jovi, Chic, Neil Diamond, Donovan, Dr. John, J. Geils Band, LL Cool J, Darlene Love Laura Nyro, Donna Summer, Joe Tex, Tom Waits, and Chuck Willis.

It's unclear how many are going to be inducted this year, but we can assume at least five will get in; that's how many got in last year with less nominees. Who will the Hall choose? Well friend that's the million dollar question. Being the dirty bitch that the Hall is, it's extremely hard to perdict her moves and motives.

If the we stuck to only inducting actual Rock & Roll bands (there's a novel idea):

Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Neil Diamond, J. Geils Band, and Tom Waits should get in. You could make an argument for Beastie Boys.

Sadly, how much a band is connect to Rock and Roll actually has no bearing on them being inducted or even nominated. So instead we are suppose to think about "influence" and "relevance", but a safer bet would be to think about Hall of Fame voter's "preference" and "favorites". So keeping the Hall of Fame's bullshit minds in mind, here's who I think will get annouced next Wednesday:

Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond, Donna Summer,

Tom Waits, and Bon Jovi

I'm sure I'll be wrong, they'll throw some kind of curve ball, but my god dammit they have to induct Alice Cooper this year. If they induct six, I guess I'll go Beastie Boys. Now we wait, and perpare to bitch next week.
