Classic Rock Ready to Roar in 2011

Do you like old school, classic Rock and Roll? If yes, than this could be a very good year for you. Yesterday a small video appeared on Bob Seger's official website, hinting at a US tour. Today that tour has been confirmed. Dates are yet to be confirmed (though they will be released shorty), but Detroit's favorite son will hit the road in March. Adding to this excitement, the press release also confirmed that Seger was working on new tunes that would appear on the tour. Sounds like a new album is in the works; hell yeah!!

KISS guitarits Tommy Thayer has revealed that the legendary rock band are planning to head to the studio in March to begin laying down tracks for a new studio album. Thayer also confirmed that the album would be produced by KISS lead singer Paul Stanley, who produced the band's 2009 album Sonic Boom, and that the album would be released sometime in late 2011. KISS fans rejoice.

Heavy Metal icons Judas Priest, while prepping for their Farewell Tour, have revealed via their official website that they are also working on new songs. While the Farewell Tour will be Judas Priest's final major tour, lead singer Rob Halford assures fans, ""To put everyone's mind at rest, this is by no means the end of the band. In fact, we are presently writing new material, but we do intend this to be the last major world tour." Sounds good to me.
