Debuts Fight Their Way into the Top 10
The Grammy hold loosens its grip this week. New releases are beginning to blossom and the old guards we've seen week after week are finally beginning to disappear further down the charts. So let's take a looksee, and maybe make a few new friends.

Next Week

20. Taylor Swift Speak Now
19. Lady Antebellum Need You Now
18. Burlesque Soundtrack
17. Katy Perry Teenage Dream
16. Francesca Batttistelli Hundred More Years
15. Lucinda Williams Blessed
14. Jason Aldean My Kinda Party
13. Eminem Recovery
12. Nicki Minaj Pink Friday
11. Rihanna Loud

10. Pink Greatest Hits....So Far!
Sup Pink, week 16 for ya and you are still rolling in the Top 10, congrads. Lucinda Williams is awesome too, in a more Country-Folkish kind of way, and hey, she happens to have a new album out this week. Let's have a listen.

Lucinda has the most interesting female vocals I have ever heard; rough and ridged with this Country slur. As always with this icon, this is another great song. Really enjoyed her last album Little Honey, even the odd AC/DC cover on it.

9. Bruno Mars Doop-Wops and Hooligans
Go away Bruno, I'm fucking sick and tired of seeing your talented face on these charts. Detract already, fucking detract. Sigh....anyway, the new Beady Eyes album is on the charts. You know, Beady Eyes, Oasis minuse Noel Gallagher the group's principal songwriter. Ya, despiret all the shit his brother Liam says about the band, Beady Eyes are nowhere as good as the former group. The album is getting pretty mixed results (more leaning towards the "it sucks" category), and I personally abandoned an attempt to listen to the whole album. I do like the single though, even if it's nothing special musicaly or lyrical content wise.

8. Justin Bieber My World 2.0
Welcom to SNL hell as host Miley Cyrus (wtf!) impersonates Justin Bieber while being satirized herself. Sorry that the clip is stupid and unfunny, but would you rather I played a horrid song off Justin's album?

7. Aaron Lewis Town Line
Debuting at #7, as well as #1 on the Country Albums Chart, is Nu-Metal Rock group Staind's lead singer Aaron Lewis. A self described hillbilly, Lewis has succesfully crossed over into the Country realm, though his EP's lead single has recieved little airplay on Country Radio. We'll have to wait and see what becomes of Lewis's Country success, he has already annouced plans to release Staind's 7th studio album.

Sad that George Jones has gotten so old he looks like Fred Phelps now. Song is alright I suppose, kind of rambling, think it would be a lot better if he cut it down and reworked the lyrics and melody. Definately see the kind of crowd it would appeal to. Maybe it's the liberal in me, but Charlie Daniels comes off a bit cooky in his closing remarks.

6. Dropkick Murpheys Going Out in Style
St. Patrick's Day is fastly approaching, and these green Irish rockers are enjoying their highest chart success and best selling week to date. They really deserve it, these Boston boys kick ass, and they've even landed a guest spot from rock icon Bruce Springsteen. Pour me some green beer and let's fucking party.

If only funerals were this fun.

5. Now 37
With iTunes, burning CDs, illegal downloading, and Youtube, I really wonder why this Record Bizz mix CD is selling so many fucking copies. Guess it has enough hit singles that people just lazily throw out their change for it. Oh well, here's an awesome song from the new Devotchka album.

4. Justin Bieber Never Say Never: The Remix
Fuck off Bieber. I just watched an awesome Documentary about Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention (Frank Zappa/Mothers of Invetiong: 1960s), so let's listen to my favorite Frank Zappa tune from this era.

Awesome. The first time I saw Motorhead they played this song over the stero before the band made it's grand enterance. Play your harmonica son!!

3. Mumford and Sons Sigh No More
50 fucking weeks on the charts. Still in the Top Ten, this little Modern Folk band has notched up a Platinum album in the US; who would have thunk it? Here is the title track off their very awesome album.

Love the fucking power within this track, blows me away.

2. Marsha Ambrosius Late Nights and Early Mornings
A former member of the English Soul/R and B group Floetry (never heard of them), Marsha Ambrosius has struck out on her own and actually landed quite high her on the charts with a #2 debut. Glancing at her Wiki page, seems Marsha has been featured on some pretty big artist tracks over the past few years. Let's see what my ears think of her work.

This really isn't my genre of music, but it seems well done. I certainly didn't hate it. Music video has a good message.

1. Adele 21
Holding the #1 crown for a second week, Adele how has the best selling US album of 2011 (Mumford and Sons are the second best selling). Here's another track off Adele's monster new album.
